we drove seven hours on friday, with a one-hour stop in ashland. such a beautiful place! josh found a little field for the kids to run around in, to break up our trip a bit.
in redding we stayed in a little cottage with cherry, lemon, & jacaranda trees in the back yard. it apparently never rains in redding in june, but saturday was the soggiest (familiar to these portlanders!), so we bundled up, pulled on our rainboots, huddled into a tent at the vineyard, & made some new friends.
sunday, after church at bethel, we piled into the car & drove seven hours all over again. ah, a sweet little trip, but we're glad to be home!
