: heron introduced sophie to "dress-up" the moment she arrived :
our sweet friends ray & sarah & their twins sol & sophie just returned from a year in japan where ray was playing pro basketball. they are the most beautifully servant-hearted people we know, & we just cherish our visits with them. sarah knew how overwhelmed we were with work this week, so she volunteered to drive over from oregon city to watch our kids for the morning, along with her own (sheppy's age), so that we could work on our projects unhindered. ray had the day off, too, so he & his brother ended up coming along just to prepare us a meal (& run the kids hard at the playground!). what an awesome gift to us during this crazy time--babysitting & personal chefs!
thanks so much, sarah & ray! your presence really blessed us! we're so excited for more time with you after our travels! (berry-picking + canning season are just around the corner, sarah!)
