it is very difficult to
not post a play-by-play photo montage of every family milestone or activity. it's what i
do. so welcome to heron's first haircut! she is almost four, & she finally agreed to a trim of those waist-long wavy locks. i had planned to take her
here (now that i have a high-maintenance short platinum blonde cut, i have a regular salon for the first time in my life. kinda weird for this low-maintenance gal...). but once she saw
this place one day when we were walking by, all of the sudden she was begging for a haircut.
: she got to watch "the little mermaid" during the haircut :
: at the end of the cut she was given a sweet little braided up-do :

though i thought this would be a little heron-mama date, she'd asked me earlier in the day, "would it be okay if sheppy came with us? he's my very best friend, & i'd really like for him to be there..."

(the salon also has a playhouse, table games, & race cars for the boys to sit in, so he was well-entertained, trying out all of the cars & cooking in the playhouse kitchen)
