we spent the first few days at zack and gala's house, with ezra & solomon, & teal visiting from l.a.!

josh played a show at park pub while we were in seattle, & the house was filled with all our friends (muncie folks) & family. it was a blast! (and josh must've said something really funny from stage)
josh & i hopped a bus to vancouver, a 3-hour trip. our hosts for the show put us up in a hotel for 3 nights, as they'd planned a multi-media event for josh's show, originally including a band, a choir, and (gasp!) dancers, which meant several days of practice & preparation. the dancers & choir didn't make it into the final vision of the show (thankfully?), but a back-up band, video art, & fiddle-player did. & it was stunning! such a fun show, in an amazing theater. our host mike & his buddies had put so much time and preparation into this production, and josh's voice was ON. we can't stop talking about the fiddle player--a classically-trained violinist, most recently touring the u.s. with some indie rock/mexican-celtic band, on his way to study for 6 months, 12-hours a day, in india, with a famous indian fiddler (we'll try to get some video up on you tube as soon as we get the footage).
we spent another three days in seattle after vancouver, this time with the ramsdales. josh & i LOVED spending time outside helping jeff & cris beautify their yard. & loved our meal with drew & sara. & erica. & having both our families together for a meal at hale's ales (notice a theme? we love microbrews!) before heading back to indy. we have amazing families! & we LOVE that shows give us opportunities to see them a couple times a year!

after 5 days back home in indy, we raced off to virginia for a string of 5 shows in VA and NC. we're in wilmington, NC, now (at josh's show, hosted by friends jason & jada andre). & it's already been an amazing day--waking up at 6 a.m. to grab breakfast with new friends on the outer banks, then surfing & sunning before the sunny roadtrip to wilmington.
