heron, lucas, and wren are all ponyo fans, so i bought them each a ponyo-style boat for christmas. also called "putt-putt" or "pop pop" boats, they run on little candles or vegetable oil, and they make the coolest putt-putt sound as they chug along on the water. i found some sweet little tin steam boats on ebay (though making them myself was a challenge i almost took on!)
