guest book : trace + becca + sawyer

trace & becca have been dear friends of ours for the past five years.  becca & i met when i lived in seattle, pre-trace & in-between-josh (post- and pre-josh?).  when she met her musician husband trace, and i married josh, we knew they'd hit it off, too.  we've had the pleasure of touring with them several times over the years (like here, here, here, and here, & we even almost moved to boulder twice to be near them), and josh & trace still take any opportunity to play shows together when they're in the same town.  trace had a show here in portland at mississippi studios last night so he asked josh to open for him.  here's a duet of "killing me softly" they played between their sets.



over the years we've loved having these friends that share ideals, values & lifestyle with us.  trace & josh are both independent musicians who tour with their wives, and now KIDS!  trace & becca just had their first child, sawyer, three months ago, & this was his first tour!  (josh & i were just reminiscing about our first tour with heron up the east coast in november of 2008 when she was five months old.  she did great!  it was a wonderful indication of our ability to tour together healthily & joyfully as a family)
