with snow flurries the other day, beautiful though they were, we still feel enshrouded by winter here in portland. we were so happy to receive this box of citrus from our friends the morehouses yesterday; it held the promise of sunny days ahead! (we stayed at their orchard on our touring-way up to portland, and josh has stayed there once since) carolyn marked all of the fruit (washington navel, cara cara pink navel, oro blanco pummelo, bearss lime, meyer lemon, eureka lemon, tarocco blood orange, page mandarin, fisher navel, and limequat), and even included a recipe for candied limequats.
(i've never met a limequat before, but they're such pretty little things)

(here heron was really just playing with the leftover flour while the biscotti was baking, but it was fun just to let her get messy!)
