travel log : LA, day 1

with a little help from yelp! i scored us a sweet little bungalow to stay in the night of josh's hotel cafe show.  it was right around the corner from the venue!  since i reserved it so last-minute the owner gave us a really fantastic deal.  it was such a perfect little get-away for our family in the heart of the city, & ideal for hosting friends before & after the show.  (it was such a charming little place, with great light inside & out, that i took tons of pictures of the kids.  so many, in fact, that i'll have to do a second post with more photos!)

it was so much fun having our three families together.  i haven't laughed so hard in ages!

david, greg, & josh, all made arrangements to meet up for breakfast in long beach the next day.  david travels as a missionary among skaters, planting churches worldwide.  when living in so-cal he meets weekly with fellow jesus-believing pro-skaters for breakfast.  josh & greg were honored to join in & meet skate legend christian hosoi!
