the interminable album project--done!

whew!  he did it!  a year & a half later, and josh finally finished "love & war & the sea in-between"!

we're still finishing up the artwork, so it's not in production quite yet.  but the big sigh is in our lungs, because josh's part is done!  the rest is really easy-peasy, comparatively.  it's been a long, rather wearying process.  a little bit of a lonely season for us, too.  the whole family is so happy it's DONE!  we're coming out of hiding; we're ready to play!

nick & josh were best friends in elementary school in indiana.  nick moved out to portland a few years ago after attending full sail for mastering studies.  we moved to portland a year & a half ago from north carolina.  nick recently met jesus, & josh is so glad to have an old friend in town that he has so much in common with (jesus + music engineering), & so much history with. 

josh didn't quite finish mixing & mastering in colorado last month, but guess who owns one of the northwest's best mastering studios--just outside of portland?   so... josh's old buddy nick ended up mastering his album, and they had so much fun working on it together!  nick was so excited about the album--so encouraging.  josh was able to sit in on the sessions, and nick let josh keep tweaking the mixes at home throughout the week until he was totally happy with all the songs.  it was a real blessing!

release date is set for june 15!  congratulations, babe!  i'm SO proud of you!  you've worked so hard on this, & it's been so worth it.  you've created something beautiful & enduring.  it's going to be so fun to share it with the world!
