so there were lots of cameras around this weekend. david kelly came over from bend, oregon to interview josh for his new web show IN:5*, and he flew in our good friend russell brownley from san diego to film it. while here, russell also filmed "a day in the life" of josh. and the whole family. which i didn't know ahead of time. otherwise i would've bought myself a pretty new dress & maybe felt a little prettier for the occasion ;) but it was so fun hosting them. i'm not sure when josh's interview + day-in-the-life will be online, but we'll certainly share it here. so good, as always, to host out-of-town friends here, and to share the warmth of christian fellowship with friends old & new.

day one of filming included josh riding his skateboard to the grocery store & making pizza for everyone, our friday night tradition! russell brought all of his serious gear, and here they are setting up a shot of josh coming through the front door with the grocery bag.
yay! russell brought his wife brianna along, so the kids & i got to hang out with her all weekend. she's a fashion/shoe designer with reef, and we love talking art & design! heron & i took her to my favorite places on mississippi ave--porch light, flutter, & the meadow: salt/chocolate/flowers while sheppy napped. and later i took her to cacao & a little place downtown that sells local crafty goodness (while the kids and i played in the toy store next door).

looks like a lovely weekend! i have to admit, i'm a bit jealous of the amazing cameras & the cozy coats, layers, & scarves!
