heron's 2nd birthday is this saturday, which means all of my free moments are spent doing two of my favorite things--planning a really big shindig (scenes from last year's party here) & making a really fantastic present for heron. saturday we'll be in seattle (where most of our extended family lives, & where josh has a show on sunday), having a brunch with heron's grandparents, aunts & uncles, cousins. her portland party is the following sunday. i'm giving myself until the 2nd party to finish making her gift.

i love it! Oh, elle you celebrate so well! I can't wait to see more photos of the party, her gift, the cake and all of the other magic you create! It is crazy the difference that a year makes, she is so grown up! Thanks for sharing photos and your thoughts on here, it makes me miss you more, but still feel connected at the very same time!!
