josh & i are in LOVE with this place, & in LOVE with each other. we've had such a beautiful time just being best friends this week. something in the move made us feel like kids again, & we've been re-living all of our old memories from our first meeting in muncie 6 years ago. on labor day we drove to the reservoir, ate corndogs (very badly un-vegetarian), took a hot sunny country drive (with the windows down, blasting REM "green", u2 "war", the pixies "trompe le monde", yelling every lyric into the humid air), ate banana splits at hunnicutt's dairy bar...

rural life has already been so good to us.

we can't believe that on a blustery day, we can simply walk out our front door & fly the stunt kite, rather than driving 20 minutes to be in nature. friday was the perfect day for it. bill lett & the billet construction guys came out to watch us wrestle the wind!

josh & i are both working on creative projects. my friend robin asked me to make some room signs for her counseling center by wednesday for the open house, & josh has been asked to write a soundtrack for a 7-minute short film, due at the end of the month. he's collaborating with our friend jay. we've loved having these tasks to immediately pour ourselves into! we're living in quite the inspirational place...

oh! & the mississinewa river is right outside our window. oops! josh & i were going to take a post-sunday nap swim in the river, so i'd better go!
